Zachary's First Session!

Oooooooooh, little feet & little toes!  I got to meet Jini & Stephen's newest arrival Zachary when he was only 9 days old ;) He was so alert I couldn't believe it!  His big sister Sienna was already settling into her new role, giving her little brother precious kisses.  Sienna and I are old friends now since I have been photographing her since she was born too!  It was great to see the family again, and I look forward to capturing all of Zachary's milestones in his Year In Pictures sessions to follow xx

From the moment I stepped into Tyler's house till the last dance, I felt like I was hanging out with friends.  The Farruggio's and the Venice's are some of the coolest people I've had the pleasure of photographing :)  I got to know the Venice's back in 2008 when I photographed Tyler's sister Nicole's wedding (there is a special nod to you guys in the reception section!), and have been looking forward to seeing everyone again since Jenn & Tyler booked me back in the spring of 2011. We had a stellar day, starting with duel coverage at both their parent's houses, and after a beautiful ceremony at St. Denis Church, we headed over to the yacht club in style in a classic Great American Trolley! Jenn & Tyler pulled off a beautifully choreographed first dance (dance lessons from Gabriel from Ballroom Etc.!) to the crooning of Curtis Mayfield's 'So In Love' ~ it was awesome. We ended the night by stealing away to the docks for a few quick minutes to capture the last image of the night...perfect ending to a perfect day. Congratulations you two lovebirds!!!

Once a year I donate a portrait session of some kind to the annual fundraiser at my children's school, and last year I was thrilled when my friend (and talented acupuncturist/ Five Element Acupuncture) Margaret snagged it! I knew it was going to be a fun session because A) this family rocks, and B) we were planning on shooting in our own back yard... the fabulously photographable Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  I have been DYING to do a session here... there are so many textures, colorful walls, crazy graffiti and well, you can see for yourself! I love love love these images, and you guys too xx
