I had so much fun hanging out with Jessica & Chris in Central Park for their e-session last week. I knew I wanted to get a shot on the band shell but when we got there (I wish I had a 'before' shot!) there were tons of crates and barricades jammed up all the way to the front of it making it seem impossible to do.... but since I'll do just about anything for art... I squished in between all the stuff and whipped out my trusty fish eye and was able to get this first shot- cool! We also trekked up to the NY Metropolitan Club where they got engaged (!) and we took the last two shots, great idea Chris! Can't wait for their fall wedding ~ see you guys in November :)
Monica + Steve/ weddings
sealed the deal on April 16th, 2011
What a pleasure it was to photograph Monica & Steve on their wedding day! Even though it rained cats and dogs and we kept having to rework our plans, they never missed a beat... laughing and enjoying themselves every minute. With Monica's infectious laugh and Steve's charm, I had loads of great photo ops all day :) We started at the Hotel W in Hoboken where I got one of my favorite shots from outside the balcony looking back at Monica while she was getting her make-up finished (you can see the storm clouds fast approaching!), then after a beautiful ceremony complete with dramatic thunder we headed to Stone House at Stirling Ridge, a totally awesome venue mixing modern & urban with open beam ceilings and lots of romantic candlelight. I was so grateful to the staff for actually serving us our dinner at the same time as the guests so I didn't miss a thing when the Starlight Orchestras launched into a powerhouse set and kept everyone rockin' out all night long. I am pretty sure the pair in the fish eye shot below never left the dance floor once! They say those wed in the rain are sealed together even tighter, so Monica & Steve... here is to an eternity of Love xx
Sienna's Spring Outing!
It has been such an honor photographing Sienna in her first year of life. These fun shots were taken during her second Year In Pictures session on one of the first beautiful days we have had of Spring. Sienna is 7 months old now which is my favorite age to photograph kids at because they are just starting to come into their own personalities with lots of giggles and smiles, but they can't crawl away or run off yet! Happy 7 month birthday Sienna :)
